In the last couple of commentaries and Monday’s webinar, we’ve discussed the current S&P 500 (SPY) environment which is particularly risky for growth investors. On the surface, indices are churning in a tight range and only down a couple of percentage points from their all-time highs. Yet, there have been sharp pullbacks in many pockets of the market which has led to severe pain for many growth investors. This has also posed a headwind for our portfolio, but we’ve managed to evade this damage by picking a handful of winners in sectors that have continued to trend higher. In today’s commentary, I want to discuss recent developments and why it seems like we’re going to be stuck in this range for longer.
